 They are state claims and there is a good amount of gold in the valley. Before concentrating, samples assayed at 2.1 - 6.3+ grams of gold per ton (75% to 98% pure).   

A decade or so ago Robert B. took out $412,000 worth of gold (at today's prices) in just a few months using a dozer and excavator. They also were into hydro mining. Also, there are two underground mine shafts located on the claims. 

The price for the claims will also include: runway, miner's cabin & some mining equipment.

Gold Mining Claims on Willow Creek
The first is on the left side of the road just past where the lake almost touches the road on the right.  At the beginning edge of the claim it is marked with a black and white sign with ADL 705575 and is 39 acres. Access is from the trail  by the old bridge.
Another 3/4 down the road and across the new bridge is the other three claims continuous,
The first is marked black and white sign ADL702400. At the beginning of that claim . Road runs through the middle and it is 9 acres.
The next is ADL 713229 a 10 acre claim,  the road runs through the center.  Also marker is at the beginning of claim.
The next is 31 acres  marked at the beginning edge with B&W sign ADL705576 road runs through the middle.
You can be in the water in an hour from Wasilla, good for weekend dredging.  Asking 7k for the small claims each, 12k
for the 2 larger. Would consider partial trades.
